Imran "hiding under his bed" to avoid being arrested: Maryam
ISLAMABAD:
The senior vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz, has criticized the former prime minister and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, for avoiding arrest and "hiding under his bed."
Talking at the hierarchical show of PML-N in Sheikhupura on Tuesday, that's what maryam said "criminals and dacoits fear capture, however pioneers are not".
She then compared Imran Khan to her father, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Maryam stated that Nawaz Sharif came to court for his own arrest and did not hide during difficult times, while Imran Khan is hiding under his bed.
She advised Imran to court arrest and demonstrate bravery in front of the judiciary.
Maryam also criticized Imran Khan for how he treated political workers, citing the killing of PTI worker Zille Shah in Lahore last week as an example. She said that Imran was playing politics with the death of Zille Shah and putting other people's children in danger so that he could beat the police.
She emphasized that the PML-N is entering the race to win the upcoming election rather than simply competing in it.

She said that Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan were treated differently, with Nawaz Sharif having to appear in court hundreds of times despite being innocent and Imran Khan trying to get away despite "being a criminal."
Maryam also responded to Saqib Nisar, the former chief justice, who said that she was acting inappropriately. She said that she had been trained by Nawaz Sharif and Kulsoom Nawaz and that she was just showing people the mirror.
The event was also attended by PML-N leaders such as Rana Sanaullah, Parvaiz Rasheed, Talal Chaudhry, Uzma Bukhari, and Sania Ashiq.
Maryam's speech was praised by the PML-N supporters, who also chanted party-supporting slogans.
In general, Maryam's speech was a vehement rebuke of Imran Khan and a rallying cry for the PML-N in preparation for the upcoming election. The PML-N's determination to win the election was also emphasized in the speech, which emphasized the differences between Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan.
